FURNISHINGS & DECOR SCHEMES

When it comes to furnishing your home, we tap into hundreds of trade-only vendors to specify furniture, lighting, rugs, textiles, soft-goods, art, accessories and wallcoverings, in addition to considering any of your existing pieces to be repurposed. We consider scale, texture, materials and most importantly - you! We present one concept for each space, complete with scaled furniture plans and physical samples of materials.

DISCOVERY

During the discovery phase, we conduct an initial site visit to obtain measurements of your spaces and itemize the full scope of work to be done. We also discuss your budget, review inspiration images, and learn more about your family's lifestyle and preferences so that we can plan the use of your spaces appropriately.

IMPLEMENTATION

We process all orders for products and materials on the furnishings proposal, meticulously managing the logistics to ensure your items are received at the proper destination without damage or defect. Once all items are received, we manage the white-glove installation of all furnishings, window treatments, wallcoverings, etc. that we've purchased for your project. You won't have to lift a finger!

FURNISHINGS & DECOR SPECIFICATION

Using your feedback from the previous phase, we refine our selections and specify every bit and bauble required to fully furnish each space. We obtain quotes for all items to be presented in a product proposal so that you know the overall investment in relation to your established budget before moving forward to the implementation phase.


  • Furnishing & Decor projects are billed on an hourly basis at $150 per hour for all team members. Time spent on your project is diligently tracked and described in once-per-month time billing invoices so you know exactly what we’ve been working on!

  • We require a minimum spend of $15,000 on furnishings and decor (outside of time billing fees). If you’re unsure whether your project would meet that minimum, schedule a call with Rachael to discuss further. If your budget is below that threshold, a one-hour consultation could be a good starting point for your project.

  • RBID sources the world over! We procure product from predominantly to-the-trade vendors who we've vetted for superior quality and craftsmanship. We attend trade shows multiple times a year to see the latest releases from vendors, identify new sources, and test out the products first hand.

  • You bet! RBID receives deep, but varying discounts from to-the-trade vendors, and therefore, the cost presented on our product proposals range from 10 to 70% off of the product’s retail price. Products sourced from retail, direct-to-consumer vendors will be proposed at the full retail price. We do not abide by online sales from direct-to-consumer sites, as our trade-member prices with those vendors do not vary.

  • RBID is a full service interior design firm and we require all product that we've specified be purchased through RBID. Managing the ordering and logistics directly with our vendors allows for us to address things like damage during shipment or quality control issues, saving you time and money. We order the product and ship it to our receiver who opens it, inspects it for damage, and stores it in their climate controlled facilities until we're ready for delivery. We then manage the white glove installation of your products so you don't have to lift a finger.

  • We love designing around your family's cherished pieces. During the initial site visit, we'll request an itemized list of pieces to be repurposed in your re-designed space. We'll collect photos and measurements to use in our design planning.

  • Most definitely! We work with skilled workrooms who can breath new life into your existing pieces, should they require a little extra love to fit into the design plan.
