Spring High Point Market Recap

We power walked our way through three jam packed days at the Spring ‘23 High Point Market last month and came back to Madison more creatively energized than ever! Now we’re happy to share a bit of what caught our eye, what you can expect to see more of in the home furnishings world, and more.

All the rage…

GREEN | We can happily report that gone are the days of Millennial Grey! We saw a noticeable shift to natural, earth tones that felt like the big hug we all need. Green, in particular, is experiencing its shining moment in every hue from Sage to Chartreuse to Kelly.

RATTAN | We have a deep-seeded affinity for rattan and would work it into every space in a small way if we could. There was a LOT of rattan this market, particularly in lighting. Rattan is “in”, but as with anything, we would recommend using it with restraint.

ITTY BITTY LAMPS | We were happy to see more small scale lamp options than ever. These teeny lamps are perfect for a kitchen countertop or bookshelf.

Most inspired by…

The Highland House showroom is always a show stopper. They don’t hold back on color, pattern, or unique application - all things that get our creativity gears turning. In particular, the designer collections from Barrie Benson and Bungalow Classic highlight the creatives’ personalities and design acumen in ways that make you want to sit a spell and take it all in.

New favorite…

Woodbridge Furniture is a vendor we already know and love, having used their case-goods in numerous projects. Their new collections with Celerie Kemble and Lauren Liess helped us see the brand through a new lens and added diversity to their offering that will keep us coming back for more!

We’re curious - what are you on the hunt for when it comes to home furnishings or decor? We always go to market with a “wish list” of items that we need new sources for. For instance, this year at market we found new vendors for affordable outdoor furniture that isn’t grey, bedding that has more color range for a good price point, and heirloom quality case-goods. We’re still looking for vendors that offer more diverse outdoor lighting and cabinetry hardware, so that’s staying on our wish list until next market. Tell us what you’re hunting for and we’ll add it to our list!
