Home for a ‘Hunnybee’
Design is always an exciting job for us at RBID. Working with homeowners to build a new home, reinvent an existing home through a remodel, or gussy up a space for a new purpose or new look brings the ultimate feel good energy for us at RBID. But let me tell you - the sweetest task of all is designing a space for our littlest clients.
Updating a Generational Home
It's always a special assignment to be updating a family home. The client obtained this home from their parents, who built it in the late nineties. It's a stately brick home, set a good ways off the road on a beautiful in-town street here in Madison. The home offers plenty of space for this vibrant family of 7! The age of the home required some necessary updates to lighting, plumbing fixtures, paint and flooring throughout, which gave the client the opportunity to make it feel like their own.
Nesting
Earlier this month we completed a nursery project for a baby girl expected this spring and it reminded me of my own time of expecting our sweet Abe. Preparing a place for your first born is a precious time of waiting, preparing, worrying, celebrating and more. It was a season of our lives that I’ll cherish forever!
Farmhouse Refresh
Bathrooms are one of the more hard working rooms in our homes and, as such, are one of the most requested remodels. This farmhouse Master Bath served its homeowner well for many years, but with new tenants coming in, it was time for a refresh.
